Error description

  • When the customer reviewed CICS statistics in the Event Process
domain (EP) they were unable to reconcile the numbers which
indicated there were missing events. The customer did not find
any errors in CICS and MQ logs that indicated the events failed.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Missing High Priority Transactional *

    ****************************************************************
When the EP statistics are being reviewed the number of put
events may not equal the number of events sent to the adapters.
This problem is seen when all of the put events happen to be
    high priority asynchronous transactional ones.
All transactional events with the same correlation factor will
be emitted when a COMMIT UOW with the same correlation factor is
    received.
This problem will occur when more than one COMMIT UOW is
received. All the events for these additional UOWs will be lost.
This problem was identified by reviewing EP statistics and
comparing 'Number of Put Events:' with 'No. of asynchronous
    priority events:'.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHEPEV has been changed to ensure all events for all COMMIT
    UOWs are emitted.
