APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • WIM exception observed when running wsadmin shell using
connection type RMI when username contains a '/' character,
which is the default realm delimiter.

CWWIM4537E No principal
is found from the 'xxxx' principal name.

*                      authentication                          *
*                      error if username contains '/'          *
*                      character(s).                           *

The username that contains one or more '/' is incorrectly
interpreted as realm/username in the login logic via RMI port.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The bug was fixed.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
