PH31023: AFTER PH23904, PARTITION SELECTION IGNORED IF ALL PARTITIONS UNLOADED IN OTHER SELECT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After the application of the fix for PH23904, the partition
  selection (specified by the PART or SQLPART option or
  PARTLEVEL(n) option when a LISTDEF is involved) is ignored which
  can lead the unloaded data to contain the data from undesired
  partitions. This occurs when ALL the following conditions are
  fulfilled :
  - the VUU036/GBLPARAL parmlib parameter is set to NO
  - the UNLOAD command contains several logical unload (SELECT
  statements and OUTDDN optioin)  involving the same partitioned
  tablespace
  - at least one of the logical unload specifies a partition
  selection of a single partition
  - at least one of the logical unload has no partition selection
  - no logical unload specifies a partition selection of more than
  one partition
  

Local fix

• set GBLPARAL to YES which is the recommended value.
