changes done using the CREV EDIT command.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Changes made by using the EDIT command  *
*                      when building an SQL SELECT prototype   *
*                      for a view are not retained.            *
****************************************************************
The user issues the CREV line command on a table to create a
view. On the resulting panel (ADB26CV), the user enters ? to use
the SELECT prototype.

After building the statement with line commands on panel
ADB21TSE, the user issues the EDIT command to edit the changes.
However, changes made during the EDIT session are lost upon
exit.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The edited changes will be propagated back to ADB26CV similar
to the case when using the EDIT command directly on ADB26CV.
After the changes are displayed on ADB26CV, the SELECT prototype
is not selectable, which is the current behavior. This behavior
ensures that the changes are not lost, as ADB21TSE always
initializes the statement.

A future enhancement might support going back and forth between
the SELECT prototype and the manual EDIT session.
