• Page is put into LPL because of a latch timeout & the below

  If DB2 didn't recover LPL objects automatically, then start
  the objects manually

  * Apply corrective PTF when available                          *

  During a page P-lock exit, Db2 will attempt to acquire the
  page latch. If the request times out for a must-complete
  situation such as a DSNIBHUN backout, MSGDSNT501I would be
  issued after the maximum retries and the page would be put in
  LPL.
  

Problem conclusion

• To avoid pages going into LPL, the time out value to get a
  page latch for the page P-lock exit was increased when the
  request is for a must-complete request. If this page latch
  request fails, the page P-lock exit will take a diagnostic
  dump.
