Error description

  • IBM Workload Interaction Navigator PTF UJ04388 provides a new
capability of performing sysplex analysis from SMF files
collected from multiple systems. This new capability allows
customer to see the activities going on in the whole
sysplex on a single web browser interface.
DFHWICCD/DFHWICCB maps the structure of SMF type 98
subtype 1024 which can be analyzed by IBM Workload Interaction
Navigator. Comments for some of the fields are updated to
enable the new sysplex analysis capability.
WIC_1024_ KWITHINRELEASEINDEX is increased from 0 to 1 as a
    result of the update.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS provides an updated DFHWICCD/DFHWICCB on field
comments to enable the new sysplex analysis capability.
WIC_1024_ KWITHINRELEASEINDEX is increased from 0 to 1 as a
    result of the update.

DFHWICCD/DFHWICCB maps the structure of SMF type 98
subtype 1024 which can be analyzed by IBM Workload Interaction
Navigator. With this updated DFHWICCD, IBM Workload Interaction
Navigator PTF UJ04388 can use it to perform sysplex analysis
from SMF files collected from multiple systems.

This D type apar also removes some structures within DFHWICCD
as they are not necessarily required to interpret SMF 98
subtype 1024 records. Prior to their removal, an offset mismatch
existed between fields in DFHWICCD and the SMF data.
