Error description

  • When removing a source controlled file from a Microsoft Visual
Studio project integrated with IBM ClearCase, the parent
directory is incorrectly checked out and back in if the user
selects "remove" to leave the file in place instead of "delete"
to remove it from the directory as well as the project.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Create a visual studio project in a view and add it to source
    control through the integration
    2) Add one or more new source files to the project.
    3) Ensure all files are checked in.
    4) highlight a newly added source file in the solution explorer
    and press the "delete" key
    5) Answer "remove" to the prompt that appears.

    Expected:
    - File is removed from the project, but not from the disk.
    - Comparing the parent directory of the source files with its
predecessor should show that the change was adding files.

    Actual:
    - File is removed from project
    - Comparing the parent directory of the removed file shows it is
identical to its predecessor. A describe of the directory shows
that it was modified during the "remove" process.
