Error description

• Websockets connections through the WAS Plug-in may fail with
  the following message in the browsers developer console:
  
  "A
  server must not mask any frames that it sends to the client."

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Websocket requests will fail when the   *
  *                      web server is configured with           *
  *                      mod_deflate for all conten-types.       *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:  Problem can be address with web server      *
  *                  configuration. Modify the webserver         *
  *                  configuration, add:                         *
  *                  SetEnvIfNoCase Upgrade .+ no-gzip           *
  *                  after the deflate output filter statement.  *
  ****************************************************************
  The web server plugin does not support the use of mod_deflate
  with websocket traffic.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been corrected so that websocket connections disable
  web server compression.
  
  The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
  8.5.5.19 and 9.0.5.7. For more information, see 'Recommended
