Error description

  • This issue can be seen when using the MongoDB adapter as a
source on any IBM Tranformation Extender (ITX) map, reading an
integer that is larger than 2,147,483,647.

After 2,147,483,647, then Mongo switches to using a NumberLong
format, as it can no longer output the number as a 32bit
integer, and switches to a 64bit integer model.

The ITX map will fail, as the data no oonger matches the
metadata, and the reason will be listed as invalid input.

Local fix

  • ITXCQ - ITX00060566
    PB / PB
    Circumvention: None

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
IBM Transformation Extender users of MongoDB adapter.

    Problem Description:
MongoDB adapter returns the Extended BSON data type values
(NumberLong, NumberDecimal, NumberInt) for numerical values
instead of plain-decimal/long/int values to the map which
    results in transformation failures.

    Platforms Affected:
    All

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed multiple issues with MongoDB adapter where it now reports
error when connectivity to MongoDB fails, suppresses the driver
logging by default, returns numerical data in relaxed mode
instead of extended BSON data type to avoid transformation
    failures.

    Applies to:
    9.0.0.4, 10.0.0.0, 10.0.3.0

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
