Error description

  • Stored Procedures may suddenly fail with message
"AQT20111E Operation RECEIVE which was supposed to transfer 6
bytes on TCP/IP socket 1 to the remote machine at IP address
aa.bbb.cc.dd and port xxxx could not be completed within the
     time allotted (10 seconds)".
Upon a next call of the stored procedure the error may be gone.

    GH#...IDAA-Server/issues/3231

Local fix

  • Add parameter "AQT_DRDA_TIMEOUT=300000" (300.000 milliseconds =
300 seconds = 5 minutes) to member AQTENV and REFRESH your WLM
    SP address space.

Problem summary

  • Problem Summary:
Loading accelerator-shadow tables in parallel may fail with
    message AQO2011E.

    Users affected:
Customers using Db2 Analytics Accelerator Loader or using
Stored Procedure ACCEL_LOAD_TABLES to load accelerator-shadow
    tables.

    Problem Scenario / Problem Symptoms:
Using DB2 Analytics Accelerator Loader to load several
accelerator-shadow tables in parallel my lead to a hang
situation. The issue is accompanied by error message
"AQT20111E Operation RECEIVE which was supposed to transfer 6
bytes on TCP/IP socket 1 to the remote machine at IP address
aa.bbb.cc.dd and port xxxx could not be completed within the
     time allotted (10 seconds)".

Problem conclusion

  • The logic of the accelerator server has been enhanced to reduce
the duration of internal locks set/held during load processing.
Thereby the likeliness of lock concurrencies during parallel
load processing of accelerator-shadow tables has been reduced
significantly. As a consequence the likeliness of an occurrence
of message AQT20111E during load processing has been reduced
    aa well.
The enhancements has been made part of accelerator
maintenance level 7.5.5. Upgrade your Accelerator accordingly.

    Note:
For other reasons the error message AQT20111E still may occur
when using Stored Procedures of the Accelerator.
For such a situation the recommendation from the APAR's
local fix-section still applies; it enlarges the period for
    resolution of internal lock conflicts:
    "Add parameter "AQT_DRDA_TIMEOUT=300000" (300.000 milliseconds =
300 seconds = 5 minutes) to member AQTENV and REFRESH your WLM
     SP address space."
