PH29757: HANGING SITUATION UNLOADING LOB IN SPANNED DATASET

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An hanging situation can occur during the unload
  of LOB data into a spanned dataset (SPANNED YES option)..
  
  This can occur regardless of the processing (native or SQL)
  mode, during any unload of LOB data into a spanned dataset but
  its probability increases with the number of NULL values and
  inline LOB data in the involved LOB data.
  

Local fix

• as the issue is less likely in SQL mode, consider specifying DB2
   FORCE if the issue occurs with an unload run in native mode.
