    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Cluster ripple start fails when any *

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When a server start fails during a ripple start operation, the
    ripple start process lacks exception handling allowing it to
    move
    on to the next server in the list. Instead, the entire ripple
    start operation is aborted at that point.

Problem conclusion

  • Ripple start now tolerates failed server starts, logs any
    exception to FFDC, and continues with the next cluster member.
