  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer has defined fine grained security where an user doesn't
have permissions to uninstall some applications. The fact is
that there are some options for the user in the admin console
that are greyed out because the fine grained security but
    uninstall is not greyed out.

Customer can try to uninstall the application and he gets an
error in the console that is not very clear about the situation.

In the traces he clearly gets a message saying the user doesn't
have privileges to uninstall the application.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The "Uninstall" button is displayed for a fine-grained monitor
user who doesn't have uninstall permissions on all applications.
Although the "Uninstall" button is displayed, the user is
prevented from uninstalling the application because an exception
is thrown by the underlying uninstall command.

Problem conclusion

  • The "Uninstall" button will be disabled or not displayed for any
user that does not have the appropriate permissions to uninstall
    at the server scope.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
