APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • You are using sample CLIST EYU$CMCI in SEYUSAMP to authenticate
    users through the CMCI JVM server and you receive the following
    error message:

    "A command entered or contained in a CLIST has
    invalid syntax."

    And/or you encounter an undefined prefix
    error for variable &PROFILE_PREFIX
    Additional Keywords and Symptoms:
    KIXREVDAM

Local fix

  • 1. On line 70- The */ in the comment should be removed as this
    is what is causing the error because the interpreter is seeing
    the first */ as an end of comment marker and then attempting to
    execute the rest of the line.

    2. Line 111- There should be two
    periods after the substitution variable &PROFILE_PREFIX.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Syntax errors are present in the *
    * following CICSPlex SM sample CLISTs : *
    *                      EYU$CMCI - Sample for creating RACF     *
    * definitions for JVMServer CMCI. *
    *                      EYU$BUND - Sample for creating RACF     *
    * definitions for the managed CICS *
    *                      bundles endpoint.                       *
    ****************************************************************
    Syntax errors in EYU$CMCI and EYU$BUND prevent the sample CLISTs
    being successfully run after customisation as described in the
    CLIST comments and CICS TS knowledge center. When the customized
    samples are executed, the following errors may be seen:

    'INVALID KEYWORD'

    'THIS STATEMENT HAS AN EXPRESSION WITH A CHARACTER DATA ITEM
    USED NUMERICALLY'

    In addition to this, incorrect RACF definitions may be specified
    in RACF commands issued by the sample CLISTs. These affect the
    definitions for lifecycle BUNDLES and user access to CMCI via
    EJBROLE.

Problem conclusion

  • Sample CLISTs EYU$CMCI and EYU$BUND have been corrected.
