Error description

  • The CHIN abends with 5C6-00E7014F LOC=CSQXADPM.CSQXADPM
when an MQPUT is attempted in client mode where the MQMD used in
the MQPUT has an invalid CCSID (offset 0x1C) set to 0x2EE8
(12008 in decimal).

Local fix

  • Set a valid CodedCharSetId in the MQMD.

  • The code has been changed to instead return a suitable reason
code of 2142 (MQRC_HEADER_ERROR) when the MQPUT fails.
Additionally, a dump will no longer be taken in the CHIN.
