• The current documentation of the SMF user records produced is
  incomplete and obscure.  There is no machine readable
  definitions of the contents of the SMF user records.

  *                 written by IIDR CDC for z/OS.                *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IIDR CDC for z/OS does not distribute a *
  *                      machine readable description of the SMF *
  *                      user records that it can produce, if    *
  *                      configured to do so.  The documentation *
  *                      of the SMF records is not adequate for  *
  *                      customers to write their own.           *

  DSECTs that describe the SMF user records produced by IIDR CDC
  for z/OS are needed.
  

Problem conclusion

• A new Assembly Language macro instruction that generates the
  DSECTs describing the SMF user record has been added to the
  product.
