APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the Object moves to the second stage of the workflow,
    System updates the initial workflow stage audit entry with the
    latest timestamp instead of retaining the original timestamp.
    For example, in the initial stage, the Workflow Stage status is
    moved from blank to Draft. In the next stage when Stage is moved
    from Draft to Open then the audit of the Stage status from blank
    to Draft gets updated with the latest timestamp.

    Prerequisites:
    
    OpenPages installed
    In this use case, SOXIssue is used as an example.
    
    Create a workflow or use an existing one
    ? 1. Log into the Task UI as OpenPagesAdministrator
    2. Navigate to menu ? Solution Configurations > Workflows
    3. Click Add New to create a new workflow
    4. Provide a name, select any object type, change to Manual
    Start then click Add.
    5. Drag 2 stages into the panel and join them up, so that you
    have a Start -> Stage1-> Stage 2 -> End workflow
    6. You can define any operations at each stage.
    Steps to Reproduce:
    ? 1. Login to OP Task focused UI.
    2. Go to menu ? Remediation > Issues
    3. Click on Add New to create a new Issue.
    4. Give a name and fill all the required fields and click Save.
    5. Now click on the Action drop down to start the workflow.
    6. Now go to the Activity tab to see the audit of the workflow
    stage
    7. Now click on the Action drop down for the Issue Object to
    select the next stage of the workflow.
    8. Now click on the Activity tab for the Issue Object and you
    will notice that the timestamp of the previous entry for the
    Workflow stage from blank to In Progress has been modified and
    updated with the latest timestamp. The previous entry had time
    of 12:26 but now it has been updated to 12:31
    ?
    Expected Results:
    
    System to not modify the timestamp of the previous audit entries
    for the workflow stage
    
    Actual Results:
    
    System modifies the timestamp of the previous audit entries for
    the workflow stage

Problem conclusion

  • Problem: The timestamp of the previous audit entries for the
    workflow stage is not correct.
    Solution: We changed the code so that we use the created time of
    the activity instance rather than modified time.
    
    Customers should download OpenPages with Watson 8.2 Fix Pack 1
    (8.2.0.1). See the following document for details on obtaining
