PH28181: DSN1LOGP CHANGE TO ADD OVERFLOW INFORMATION IN THE UPDATE LOG RECORD SUBTYPE

Error description

• This apar changes the DSN1LOGP utility to add the word
  "OVERFLOW" in the formatted text output of SUBTYPE field for
  variation 4,5,6,7,8 UPDATE log records.
  The UPDATE log records with variation 4,5,6,7,8 are related
  to pointer and overflow records, adding the word "OVERFLOW"
  in the DSN1LOGP SUBTYPE field will help to identify
  that the data record (row) being updated is related to an
  overflow record.

  Db2 writes log records for data record update with different
  variations. The UPDATE log records with variation
  4,5,6,7,8 are related to pointer and overflow records,
  adding the word "OVERFLOW" in the DSN1LOGP SUBTYPE
  field will help to identify that the data record (row)
  being updated is related to an overflow record.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR changes the DSN1LOGP utility to add the word
  "OVERFLOW" in the formatted text output of SUBTYPE field for
  variation 4,5,6,7,8 UPDATE log records, this will help the
  Db2 users to identify that the UPDATE operation is related
  to an overflow record.
  Db2 users should still refer to DSNDQJ00 macro to understand
  the full layout of the log record.
