PH28091: QCF UNLOAD TERMINATES WITH RC=8 ALTHOUGH NO ERROR MESSAGE IS OUTPUT

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• QCF UNLOAD terminates with RC=8 although no error message is
  printed out. This problem is a timing issue and may occur when
  QCF UNLOAD is run while another task is reading the message it
  needs.
  

Local fix

• As this is a timing issue, please rerun the QCF UNLOAD job again
  until it ends successfully with RC=04 or RC=0.

  When QCF Unload receives an A068 (REQUESTED DEST IS BEING READ)
  during unload processing for a destination, QCF internally
  retries unloading that destination up to 5 times.
  If QCF successfully unloads a message during the internal retry
  (e.g. another task removed the message from the queue, or
  another task released the message and the message was put back
  on the queue), it might terminate with RC=8 although no error
  message is printed out.
  

Problem conclusion

• QCF Unload has been changed to end with the appropriate return
  code.
