  • After applying PTF UI68663 for APAR PH17855, ABENDU3880 occurred
when running HPPC against GDG image copies of HD OSAM database
under IMS V15.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: MSGFABP3880E and ABENDU3880 under the   *

*                      following conditions:                   *

*                      - APAR/PTF PH17855/UI68663 is applied.  *

*                      - HDPC is run for GDG ICs of IMS OSAM   *

*                        DBs under IMS V15.                    *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

After APAR/PTF PH17855/UI68663 is applied, HD Pointer Checker
(HDPC) issues MSGFABP3880E and ABENDU3880 incorrectly when
running HDPC for GDG image copies of IMS OSAM databases (
including encrypted OSAM databases) under IMS V15 in HDPC
stand-alone jobs.

Problem conclusion
