Error description
This APAR addresses two issues dealing with DDL validation: 1) A CM Batch change involving a table with a column defined in lower case and an index specifying the column in upper case may fail with the following error when VALIDATE_DDL = 'Y': ADB3006E ADB2WVL An error occurred while processing the Index >index_name< object in the statement type of CREATE .The column >column_name< does not exist in the table. 2) With option VALIDATE_DDL set to Y, a valid CREATE TS/TB/IX combination involving a partitioned tablespace may fail during DDL validation with the following error message: ADB3011E ADB2WVL An error occurred while processing the Table Space ts_schema.ts_name object in the statement type of CREATE. The table space is partitioned but partitioning index has not been found. Keyword: msgadb3006e; msgadb3011e

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the Db2 Administration Tool for * * z/OS who use the validate DDL option. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Issue 1: * * Validating DDL that has lower * * case characters in the column name of a * * table returns an error. * * Issue 2: * * The validation process returns an error * * that the partitioning index is not * * found even though the table is * * partitioned. * **************************************************************** Issue 1: Case as follows: The input script contains CREATE TS, CREATE TB and CREATE IX. CREATE TABLE has column A coded in lowercase characters. CREATE INDEX references column A in uppercase characters. DDL validation fails with error message ADB3006E, which states that the column in the CREATE INDEX statement does not exist in the table Issue 2: If the option VALIDATE_DDL is set to Y, the valid CREATE TS/TB/IX combination fails during DDL validation with the following error message: ADB3011E ADB2WVL An error occurred while processing the Table Space ts_schema.ts_name object in the statement type of CREATE. The table space is partitioned but partitioning index has not been found.
