APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Acceptance of incoming administrative and replication TCP/IP
connections may stall when the TCP listener task blocks on a TCP
 API request.  Externally, this manifests as a number of
incoming connections being queued to the listening port and
showing CLOSWAIT status.

Local fix

  • Restart the address space to unblock the listening queue.

Problem summary

  • IIDR CDC for z/OS stops accepting new TCP socket connections.

Problem conclusion

  • The listening socket processing algorithm has been changed to
widen the period for status monitoring of TCP sockets.
