  • Db2 Admin Tool, GEN -305 generating DDL on objects with migrated
pending changes

When DB2 z/OS is migrated from pre-V12 to V12, two columns are
added to the Db2 SYSIBM.SYSPENDINGDDL catalog table.  If rows
exist in this table in Db2 z/OS pre-V12, the new columns end
up populated with nulls in Db2 z/OS V12.  The admin tool
fails to handle the nulls properly, and ends with this error:

ADB1223E ADB2REM: Unexpected sqlcode in : Fetch c_pending loop
SQLCODE=-305

The GEN function results in an SQLCODE -305 when attempting to
generate DDL for a Db2 object that has pending changes that
were migrated from pre-Db2 12 to Db2 12.

Problem conclusion
