Error description
(HPU 5.1 only) An unload from image copy referenced in the Db2 catalog (COPYDDN LAST_IC or COPYDDN -integer option) fails with completion code 8 because of allocation errors affecting one or several of the input image copy data sets retrieved by Db2 HPU from the Db2 catalog, such as in the example below: INZI330E DYNAMIC ALLOCATION FAILED. DSN=fic-dsname RC=4, REASON=0x2d6, INFO=0x0 - EXPLANATION: ERROR=0x0, INFO=0x0 SVC99 MESSAGES ARE REPORTED IN JESMSGL CARD INZI800E ERROR ACCESSING TO A DATASET. ACTION: ALLOCATE RC: 0x1708 REASON: 0x2 DDN: IC000001 DSN: fic-dsname IKJ56228I DATA SET fic-dsname NOT IN CATALOG OR CATALOG CAN NOT BE ACCESSED. The error occurs when the following conditions are fulfilled : - the table space involved by the unload command is partitioned - the image copies were taken at partition level - the image copy datasets are not cataloged - the input image copy dataset must be sorted (because the image copy is an inline image copy or was created by the COPYTOCOPY utility)
Local fix
If applicable, consider cataloging the involved image copy data sets or allocating the image copy datasets through DD statements which requires to specify the COPYDDN ddname option instead of the COPYDDN LAST_IC or COPYDDN -integer option.
