Error description

  • IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz - v14.2.2
Incorrect realtime syntax check error when space after DB2
schema name and before table name.

For example, Using following EXEC DB2 SQL statements will
trigger this issue.

EXEC SQL
   SELECT MEDICATION_ID
   INTO :DCLMEDICATION.MEDICATION-ID
   FROM DDS0001.MEDICATION
   WHERE PHARMACY_COST >= : DCLMEDICATION .PHARMACY-COST =>shows
"Ambigious Reference" msg.
END-EXEC.

Local fix

  • Remove space after DB2 schema name.

Problem summary

  • There is an incorrect realtime syntax check error when there is
a space after DB2 schema name and before table name. The error
is an ambiguous reference error.

Problem conclusion

  • This issue has been resolved.
