PH26325: FAIL TO CHECK VISUALSTUDIO 2013 REDISTRIBUTABLE PACKAGE DURING IHS FIXPACK INSTALL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When applying IHS fixpack, fixpack package will check whether
  Visutal Studio 2013 Redistributable Package has been installed.
  But, there is a case that check fails in spite that it has been
  installed.
  

Local fix

• Edit the \eclipse\configuration\config.ini file.
  Add the
  following line a the bottom of the
  file:
  disableMSVC2013PackageChecking=true
  Save the changes to
  the config.ini file

  Required Visutal Studio 2013 Redistributable Packages are
  installed. However, Installation Manager fails to detect these
  packages. It calls Windows system command to do the query
  but in this case the command returns with a non-zero return
  code. And this causes Installation Manager stop checking
  Visutal Studio 2013 Redistributable Packages.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is to always check the output of the Windows system
  command even though command's return code is non-zero.
  
  The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in IBM HTTP
  Server fix packs 8.5.5.18 and 9.0.5.5. For more information,
