Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR fixes various defects related * * to JVM servers. Symptoms include * * U501, AEXZ, 0C1s and 0C4s abends, * * message DFHSJ0001 and JVMSERVERs and * * bundle parts stuck in enabling or * * disabling states. * **************************************************************** This APAR addresses the following JVM server related defects which can occur in certain scenarios: - An U501 ABEND occurs when a CICS domain call is made on a thread that is not CICS enabled. This should cause an exception. - A purged task abends AEXZ because DFHXMIQ is unable to retrieve the name of the JVM server the task was running in. - DFHSJ0001 and abend 0C4/AKEA in program DFHAPLJP when JVM server output, error, trace and/or log files are directed to a JES DD output card. - An OVERLENGTH-ENTRY exception trace entry is produced or residual data is traced for a RLRO NOTIFY call. - DFHSJ1100 is issued with the bundletype erroneously set to "OSGi bundle" rather than WAR, EBA or EAR bundle. - 0C1 at offset 155F6 in DFHSJJS due to sj_jvmserver_requests not being reset when a JVM server is disabled and re-enabled. - CICS does not successfully disable an inconsistent JVM server because it does not start at phaseout, due to residual data in sj_jvmserver_purgetype. - DFHSJJS recovery routine truncates Kernel error offset codes. For example reporting offset 55F6 rather than 155F6. - Bundles with SJ parts remain stuck in enabling or disabling states following DFHSJ1107. - DFHSJ1110 issued following a BUNDLE PHASEIN command contains residual data in the message inserts. - StackOverflowException or IllegalArgumentException thrown in CICSTaskWrapper.java during exception processing causes a ThreadDeath.
