Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All customers using IZPCA V310. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR contains the 2020 Quarter 2 *
    *                      delivery.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTFs. *
    ****************************************************************
    This Quarter 2 delivery includes:

1 Within the Automated Data Gathering functionality, a
new Collator is provided with the following functionality:
    (a) Extract SMF records from the hub log stream
    (b) Sort the extracted SMF records according to user-specified
    rules
    (c) Write the sorted SMF records to separate data sets, for
    customer use or archiving purposes.

2 A new DISTRIBUTE ONLY option on the Batch Collect statement,
    which provides the following functionality:
    (a) Curated metrics are not written to Db2 data tables
    (b) Instead, curated metrics are only written to the Publication
    log stream
    (c) This functionality is only available for the lowest
    aggregation level data tables

    3 Improve alerting:
Ability to turn on/off alert on individual exception category
    level.

    4 Improved forecasting:
    (a) Out-of-the-box support provided for Peak CPU forecasting
    (b) Out-of-the-box forecaster configurations now default to
forecasting both Peak and Average CPU in a single forecast run.

    5 Forecaster error correction:

If a customer runs any Forecaster configuration file which
contains process.x.y.JSON or CSV with a table that contains
    PEAK_DATE and PEAK_TIME, a DateTimeParseException will occur.
This is due to the JSON/CSV stage expecting a DATE and TIME
column to (potentially) construct a timestamp, and
    PEAK_DATE / PEAK_TIME was breaking this functionality

    Example output:
    java.time.format.DateTimeParseException: Text '2020-06-09-'
could not be parsed at index 11
    at java.time.format.DateTimeFormatter.parseResolved0
        (DateTimeFormatter.java:1960)
    at java.time.format.DateTimeFormatter.parse
        (DateTimeFormatter.java:1862)
    at java.time.LocalDateTime.parse(LocalDateTime.java:503)
    at com.twentyfirstcsw.datamover.process.json.
        ProcessJSONConverter.convert(ProcessJSONConverter.java:336)
    at com.twentyfirstcsw.datamover.process.ProcessJSON.
        process(ProcessJSON.java:393)
    at com.twentyfirstcsw.datamover.process.ProcessJSON.run
        (ProcessJSON.java:197)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:818)
DRLJ0109I Status for Publisher(1) process stage 2 is Broken
DRLJ0275I Status for Publisher(1) process is Broken
DRLJ0093I Status for Route 1 is Broken
DRLJ0146I Data Pipeline Broken; shutting down

The Forecaster was changed to modify the JSON + CSV stage to
check if the DATE or TIME type columns were part of the primary
key before trying to make any timestamps.

    6 Forward fitting of PH22051:
Remove support for hiperpool columns sourced from fields
QBACHRE, QBACHRF, QBACHWR, QBACHWF AND QBACHPG of
    record SMF_101.

    7 Cognos reporting:

    (a) New Sysplex reporting
    (b) The ability to select multiple LPARs/Workloads/Service
Classes for stacked reporting on some reports.
    (c) General Cognos reporting improvements.
    (d) Conversion of the following additional 3270 reports
    to Cognos:
