Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of the KPM IMS component who want *
    * to report on Input Queue Time. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1) Input Queue Time metrics are not *
    * provided within the KPM IMS *
    *                         component.                           *
    * 2) Weekly table in KPM IMS component *
    * not merging data correctly. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    1) The KPM IMS table and update definitions do not support IMS
       Input Queue Time calculations.
    2) The KPM IMS weekly table used the daily date for merging but
only records with that date were merged.

Comments

  • Tivoli Decision Support for z/OS, IBM Z Decision Support,
IBM Z Decision Support for Capacity Planning and
IBM Z Performance and Capacity Analytics are enhanced to:
    1) Add the following columns
         INPUT_QUEUE_TOT
         INPUT_QUEUE_MIN
         INPUT_QUEUE_MAX
       to tables
         KPM_IMS_TRAN_H
         KPM_IMS_TRAN_D
         KPM_IMS_TRAN_W.

These columns contain the total, minimum and maximum Input
Queue Time. Input Queue time is calculated as the
difference between TPSTARTU and TPINUTC, in seconds.

    2) Change update CSQVU_TLS_W to store the Mondays date in
table KPM_IMS_TRAN_W so weekly data is merged correctly.
