Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the Db2 Object Comparison Tool *
    * masking or ignore functions that have *
    *                 Change Management enabled.                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The panels for specifying masks (GOC3) *
    * and ignores (GOC4) do not prevent the *
    * user from specifying both CM table *
    * entries and a data set name. *
    ****************************************************************
When Change Management is enabled, users may specify either a
CM table entry or a data set name. When both values are
specified, no error is returned, and the user does not know
which value will be used. Further, the user does not know which
value will be saved for the next time they open the panel.

Mutual exclusivity checks for both panels should inform the
    user.

    For masks:
    Short message: Mutually exclusive opts
    Long message:
'Mask Table Entry' and 'Mask DSN' are mutually exclusive
    options.

    For ignores:
    Short message: Mutually exclusive opts
Long message: 'Ignore Fields Specification Owner/Name' and
'Data Set Name' are mutually exclusive options.

Proceeding by using the enter key will be blocked until the
invalid input is corrected. PF3 will cancel the operation and
previous valid values will be retained.

Problem conclusion

  • The problems have been resolved.
