    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR provides enhancements to *
    *                      support Db2 12 function level 506.      *
    *                                                              *
    * Support is provided for the following *
    *                      function level 506 features:            *
    *                                                              *
    *                      -Alternative built-in function names    *
    * -Implicitly dropping explicitly created *
    * universal and LOB table spaces *
    ****************************************************************
    Db2 12 function level 506 features are supported as follows:

    1. The parser supports new built-in function names.

    2. The DDL reader supports new built-in function names.

    3. Compare:
    Compare will not recreate a table space that was implicitly
    dropped when a table or LOB column was dropped and is not
    present in the source for the comparison.
    Compare will recreate an implicitly dropped table space if
    needed to drop and recreate an object.

    Temporary limitations for dropping tables created in an
    explicitly created LOB or universal table space:

    When a system-period temporal table is dropped using
    Change Management (CM), the analyze process can fail
    with message ADB7195E / msgadb7195e:

    ADB7195E Cannot Compare source_table_type source_table_name
    with target_table_type target_table_name

    An auxiliary table can be dropped using CM, but this
    change cannot be recovered. An attempt to recover this
    change can fail with SQLCODE -204, because an implicitly
    dropped table space is not created.

    An archive-enabled table can be dropped using CM.
    However, it can be recovered only if the history data is
    not required. That data might not be reloaded into the
    archive table during recovery.

    When a LOB column is dropped using CM, an attempt to
    reload the data can fail, because it references the
    dropped column.

    These limitations will be resolved in a future APAR.
