Error description

• Upon updating to Red Hat Linux 7.8 on an IBM ClearCase 9.0.1.9
  host, running a recently built binary file in a dynamic view may
  fail with an immediate segmentation fault.
  
  The kernel changes in Red Hat Linux 8.0 that caused APAR PH18960
  are also newly present in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.8.

Problem conclusion

• Fixed in ClearCase 8.0.1.14, 9.0.1.10, and 9.0.2.2.  MVFS usage
  of the FMODE_WRITER flag has been modified in accordance with
  changes made in the RedHat kernel.
