Error description

  • Abend0C6 with branch (BEAR) from DFHLIRET +x'162' , when trying
to reload DFHAPLI's registers. The EIS_APLI_SAVEAREA address is
zeroes. Once this address is picked up, the 'registers' are
loaded from low core, causing the 0c6.
This involves an IPIC transaction routing.
It looks like there should be no 'PCRETURN' to dfhliret as there
is no application to go back to.
                                                                   .
The kernel task stack entries from the TOR side flowed as
    follows:
    Offs Error Name Caller Offs
    04FE DFHKETA
    025E DFHDSKE
    4C7E DFHXMTA
    2124 RUN_REMOTE +0000
    0E02 DFHAPRT
    03D2 TX_DYNAMIC_AND_ATI +0000
    19C6 ROUTE +11DC
    0000 DFHAPRR
    0246 DFHAPRR_ROUTE_TRANSACTION +0000
                                                                   .
It looked like the indication that this was transaction routing
had been lost. The TCTTE's (TCT terminal entry) TCTETRT flag
wasn't on. (TCTETRT says if this is used as a terminal for a
    remote transaction).

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend0C6 with branch (BEAR) from *
    * DFHLIRET +x'162' when using an IPIC *
    * connection for transaction routing. *
    ****************************************************************
A remote transaction is routed from a TOR to an AOR using
an IPIC connection. The application issues an EXEC CICS SEND
PAGE RELEASE that is mirrored back to the TOR. The BMS request
is successful but there is an attempt to return control as if
this was a local transaction rather than returning to the AOR.
This happens because bit TCTETRT has not been set to indicate
the transaction is running remotely and it leads to the S0C6
    abend.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been changed to set TCTETRT for a terminal associated
with a remote transaction that is being routed using an IPIC
    connection.
