PH25440: ABENDSC03 DURING THE UNLOAD FROM AN IMAGE COPY WITH ZIIP USE ENABLED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• (HPU 5.1 only) An unload can terminate in ABENDSC03 when the
  following conditions are fulfilled :
  - the zIIP processor use is enabled (ZIIP n option or ZIIP
  option not specified and the parmlib parameter VUX039/ZIIP is
  not set to OFF)
  - the data is unloaded from an image copy (COPYDDN option)
  - the online tablespace (specified through the UNLOAD statement)
  or contained in the image copy is not partitioned
  - the image copy processing does not need to be sorted (COPYDDN
  LAST_IC/-integer or COPYDDN ddname,CHECK and neither an inline
  or COPYTOCOPY image copy still referred in the Db2 catalog and
  INLINE, COPYTOCOPY, MERGE_IIC option not specified)
  
  In such a case, the image copy data set is not properly closed
  which can lead, for undetermined additional reasons, to an
  ABENDSC03.
  

Local fix

• If applicable, consider disabling the use of zIIP processors by
  specifying the ZIIP OFF option.
