• Allow partitioning by range on CEC Workload/MIPS tables

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All customers installing or migration to     *
  *                 IZPCA V310.                                  *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When installing the                     *
  *                      Capacity Planning - z/OS component,     *
  *                      the CP_CEC_WKLD and CP_CEC_MIPS tables  *
  *                      are no able to be RANGE partitioned     *
  *                      because the tables do not have the      *
  *                      MVS_SYSTEM_ID field in the tables.      *
  *                                                              *
  *                      When installing the                     *
  *                      Capacity Planning - z/OS for IZPCA 310  *
  *                      and using RANGE Partitioning on         *
  *                      table spaces.                           *
  *                                                              *
  *                      The following errors occur:             *
  *                                                              *
  *                      DSNT408I SQLCODE = -205, ERROR:         *
  *                      MVS_SYSTEM_ID IS NOT A COLUMN OF TABLE  *
  *                      DRLP3.CP_CEC_WKLD_H                     *
  *                      DSNT408I SQLCODE = -660, ERROR:         *
  *                                                              *
  *                      DSNT408I SQLCODE = -205, ERROR:         *
  *                      MVS_SYSTEM_ID IS NOT A COLUMN OF TABLE  *
  *                      DRLP3.CP_CEC_WKLD_M                     *
  *                      DSNT408I SQLCODE = -660, ERROR:         *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

  The CP_CEC_WKLD and CP_CEC_MIPS tables cannot have the
  MVS_SYSTEM_ID column required for partitioning.
  This will cause contention issues running with partitioning.
  

Problem conclusion

• The CP_CEC_WKLD and CP_CEC_MIPS tables are replaced with views
  which gives the same result set without contention issues.
