APAR status

Error description

• This APAR addresses two issues related to Catolog
  Statistics:
  
  1. Executing MIG or GEN on a tablespace and specifying 'Generate
  catalog stats' as 'Yes' may result in a null value for column
  UPDATESIZE in catalog table SYSTABLESPACESTATS. After executing
  the generated DDL, a subsequent reorg of the tablespace
  may fail with the following error message:
  
  
  DSNU3343I...REAL-TIME STATISTICS INFORMATION MISSING
  FOR TABLESPACE >dbname.tsname< PARTITION n
  
  
  2.  Calling the ADB2RE stored procedure
  with the GENSTATS option (see https://ibm.biz/BdquZk)
  does not produce catalog statistics.

  1. Executing generated catalog statistics for a migrated table
  space may result in a null value in
  SYSTABLESPACESTATS.UPDATESIZE.
  Therefore, a subsequent REORG on the table space may result
  in DSNU3343I messages.
  
  2. The GENSTATS option for the ADB2RE stored procedure does not
  function as documented (https://ibm.biz/BdquZk). This APAR
  replaces that option with CATALOGSTATISTICS, to avoid conflicts
  with the GENSTATS parm that is included in the JCL generated
  from the ISPF interface.
