Error description
EYUVC1231 error message is issued trying to modify a workload. The problem occurs after the workload has previously been modified by a request sent to a different CMAS. For example, the problem might occur when installing a new Workload definition, or when removing a transaction using the "Active workload dynamic transaction" view of the CICSplex SM Web User Interface (WUI) or equivalent view in CICS Explorer. The CMAS handling the failing request will emit an exception trace entry from module WSCL with debug text ELECTFRA. EYUVC1231E 'Force' (FORCE) request failed. Request complete for 1 records. (Failed, Exception) . CNX0593E: RESPONSE(FAILED) REASON(EXCEPTION)

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: EYUVC1231 error message is issued when * * trying to modify a workload. * **************************************************************** The problem occurred when two CMASes, CMASA and CMASB, were used to manage a workload. CMASB was terminated and restarted using a WARM start but a timing issue caused CMASA to remain unaware that CMASB was again involved with the workload. A request to change the workload was sent to CMASA. This completed successfully but CMASA had not contacted CMASB when obtaining the necessary locks. When a subsequent request to change the workload was sent to CMASB error message EYUVC1231 was issued because the internal locking state was inconsistent.
Problem conclusion
CICSPlex SM has been changed to resolve the timing issue on the WARM start of a CMAS that is involved in managing workloads. Notification of the CMAS's return is broadcast to other CMASes also involved in managing those workloads.
