Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IBM IMS Queue Control Facility for z/OS * * Version 3 Release 2 (FMID=H0GN320) users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When QCF Unload receives an A068 * * (REQUESTED DEST IS BEING READ) during * * unload processing for an OTMA * * destination, there are garbage * * characters printed for TMEMBER and * * TPIPE names on the Unload report. * * At that time, if the TOIPARMS * * statement is specified, QCF Unload * * cannot see the specific TMEMBER and * * TPIPE names, so it issues the /STOP * * OTMA command. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** When QCF Unload receives an A068 (REQUESTED DEST IS BEING READ) during unload processing for an OTMA destination, there are garbage characters printed for TMEMBER and TPIPE names on the Unload report. Garbage characters are printed in the following reports: - Messages Scrapped from OTMA Queue OTMA Destination - QCF function received AIB RC 00F0 and Reason Code - Messages Scrapped by AIB RC 00F0 by Reason Code FFFF QCF extension detects BUSY in the IMS CTL region and responds to QCF Unload with A068. At that time, the destination name in hexadecimal that is recognized inside IMS is returned as it is. Therefore, QCF Unload prints the OTMA destination name in hexadecimal. Also, if the TOIPARMS statement is specified, QCF Unload issues the /STOP OTMA command, but should issue the /STOP TMEMBER TPIPE command.
Problem conclusion
QCF has been changed to print TMEMBER and TPIPE names that can be viewed by characters as the OTMA destination and to issue the /STOP TMEMBER TPIPE command not the /STOP OTMA command if the TOIPARMS statement is specified.
