Error description

• ABENDS0C4 in ALZBATCH extract job when processing IMS x'6701'
  records for consolidation.                              S0C4
  
  In addition, updates are being made to some Knowledge Modules as
  improvements for formatting are needed for better readability.
  This change will improve the handling of OTMA Security Data
  fields, in particular Security Data for Utokens.

  1. Abend S0C4 in ALZBATCH extract job when processing
     IMS x'6701' records for consolidation.
  
  2. Updates are required to some Knowledge Modules as
     improvements to formatting for readability.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. ALZBATCH consolidates selected IMS x'6701' records to
     produce a composite record. Improvements to the record
     handling now attempt to cater for the situation where all
     the record components are not sequential, i.e. where there
     may be interleaving record(s) by checking the LSN in the
     the record suffix to cater for gaps. In this instance an
     interleaving record was encountered, but the composite
     record had been produced due to other criteria, resulting
     in an invalid suffix offset being calculated. In this
     instance it resulted in addressing storage that was not
     valid causing the S0C4 abend. The criteria for, and the
     checking of the LSN sequences, has been tightened to
     address this issue.    
  
  2. Updates are required to some Knowledge Modules to improve
     the handling of some OTMA Security Data fields, in
     particular Security Data for Utokens.
