**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM MQ for z/OS Version 8 * * Release 0 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: S5C6-00A30042 abend occurs in CSQSHGMN * * due to storage leak when using message * * selectors with SVRCONN channels. * **************************************************************** Failure to release buffers associated with message selectors during SVRCONN channel termination can result in a leak of above the bar storage. This may lead to an S5C6-00A30042 abend as well as associated symptoms such as performance degradation.
Problem conclusion

Channel termination processing has been amended to ensure storage associated with selectors is correctly released.
