PH24472: ABEND2C1 00000013 DUE TO MISSING MUTEX FILE

APAR status

• Closed as documentation error.

Error description

• ABEND2C1 00000013 occurred when broker end or restarted.
  We found the abend occurred due to missing mutex file.
  In our case, we can recreate the problem by following steps:
  (We have 2 SYSPLEX members System A1 and A2, IIB IN/IS are
  running on each LPAR as MB1 and MB2, config store (Broker ZFS
  file are shared from each LPAR)
  1. Service Trace is taken at A1 (MB1)
  2. Run the READLOG batch JOB from A2 system
  3. Cancel the batch JOB by MVS CANCEL command on A2 (due to
     very long running)
  4. STOP IIB IN/IS by STOP command
  .
  By those operation, we can see mutex file was removed just after
  CANCEL READLOG batch job.
  This problem doesn't occur if READLOG batch JOB is running on A1
  system.
  .
  After the investigation, we found sharing config store cause
  this problem, and it is not supported configuration.
  But currently the restriction is not stated anywhere. Therefore,
  we hope is is documented in Knowledge Center to avoid this kind
  of problem occurring.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  IIB Integration Bus on z/OS does not support the configuration
  of a shared file system for multiple Integration Nodes on
  different LPARs.
  

Problem conclusion

• The IIB Integration Bus v10 Knowledge Center will be update to
  reflect the restriction.
