Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM HTTP Server Archive on *
    *                  UNIX                                        *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The archive post installer will *
    *                      create an invalid httpd.conf if         *
    *                      postinst fails.                         *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The archive post installer will create an invalid httpd.conf
    if postinst fails.

Problem conclusion

  • The archive post installer will now check the return code of
    postinst and fail if postinst fails instead of creating an
    invalid httpd.conf file.
