Error description

  • When users working in the Standard UI experiences a Session
Timeout, the user is brought to the Login Prompt with the ?"The
session has expired. Please log in again OP-00048OP-00048?
    message displayed below it

Users working in the Task Focused UI will not see that message
under the Login Prompt when a session timeout occurs.

    Workaround:
    None

    Prerequisites:
    1.	OP 8.1.0.1 with standard test data
    2.	Change the session timeout period to a shorter value than the
90 minute default, to expedite the session timeout testing as
    detailed in the TechNote:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSFUEU_8.0.0/op_grc_
    admin/t_adm_set_session_inactivity_timeout_values_in_ibm_was.htm
    l

    Step to reproduce:
    1.	Login to the OpenPages Application as OpenPagesAdministrator
    and switch to Standard UI
    2.	Switch to a new Browser tab and stay there until the session
    timeout period is reached.
    3.	Switch back to that OpenPages tab and confirm the Login
    Prompt contains the OP-00048 message.

    4.	Log back into OpenPages Application and remain in Task
    Focused UI
    5.	Switch to a new Browser tab and stay there until the session
    timeout period is reached.
    6.	Switch back to that OpenPages tab and confirm the Login
Prompt does not contain the OP-00048 message

    Expected Results:

Session Timeout message should appear in TFUI when session is
timed out, matching the behavior displayed in Standard UI.

    Actual Results:

Session Timeout message does not appear under the Login screen
which may confuse users, questioning themselves on whether they
were working in an earlier session in the OpenPages Application
    before the timeout.
