PH23936: MISCELLANEOUS MODIFICATIONS TO OPTIM OBJECT EXPORT/IMPORT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Various modifications are being made to the Export/Import
  processes of Optim Objects.  Prior to this fix occassionally
  misleading error messages were being produced that did not
  properly identify their cause(s).  Additionally, prior to this
  fix the import of an Access Definition (AD) was aborted if the
  start table did not exist on the target DB2 subsystem.  That
  restriction is being removed with this fix.

  Optim was producing misleading error messages for some
  export/import processes that did little to assist the user in
  determining what went wrong with the process.  It was also
  failing processes if certain underlying objects were not found.
  

Problem conclusion

• Optim logic has been modified to generate more explicit
  messages as well as relax some restrictions.
