APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is performing Optim Column Map (CM) processing which
  involves some arithmetic expressions, or functions, assigning
  values to CHARACTER type columns.
  The expression may produce a number which overflows the capacity
  of the destination column when converted to a character string.
  Optim produces the following status information in the CONTROL
  file when this happens:
  "Destination column : error executing function"
  This message does not provide sufficient information for the
  user to be able to identify the cause of the conversion error.
