  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Prior to 9.0.5.4, IHS installed via     *
  *                      IBM                                     *
  *                      Installation                            *
  *                      Manager was always a 32-bit             *
  *                      application.                            *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  In 9.0.5.4 and later, new installations of IHS on Windows
  will provide a 64-bit server.  This is the same runtime
  as provided since 9.0.0.6 via the IHS archive install.
  When applied as a fixpack on top of 9.0.5.3 or earlier
  32-bit installation, the 32-bit server is updated.
  Note: In all cases, throughout all of 9.0, IIM reports
  that is is installing a 64-bit package.
  

Problem conclusion

• The installer was updated to selectively install either
  32-bit or 64-bit IHS depending on whether a 32-bit
  installation was being updated.
  
  A 32-bit installation can be upgraded to 64-bit in-place
  by setting $IM_root/configuration/config.ini property:
