APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When you import a public filter that contains condition using
    Folder, it removes the target filter
    
    Steps to Reproduce the Issue
    1. Login to OP8.1.0.1 and switch to Standard UI
    2. Go to Administration\Object Types and click on an Object Type
    (i.e SOXIssue)
    3. Click on Filters and add a new Filter
    
    4. Save it with a name "Issues_In_America" and Apply
    5. Export this filter from Administration \ Export Configuration
    and download the jar file
    
    6. Include the above filter in a profile
    a) Go to Administration \ Profiles and click on OpenPages Module
    Master
    b) Click on SOXIssue
    c) Under Navigational Views, Click Filtered List
    d) Under Associated Filters, click on Associate
    e) Select "Issues_In_America" filter and click on Include
    f) Click on Save
    6. Import the jar file from step #5 above via Administration \
    import configuration
    You would see the following error in the import log
    
    7. Go to Administration \ Object Types and click on SOXIssue
    8. Under Filters, click on "Issues_In_America", you will see the
    filter condition is empty
    

Local fix

  • Create the intended filter manually after importing the data

Problem conclusion

  • This issue is because of the another fix we made.  It's that
    ObjectManager is not supporting the new approach for the folder
    related filters.  We provided the fix in both export and import
    of folder related filters.
    
    Customers should download OpenPages 8.2 from Passport Advantage.
