PH23511: GCLRON05E WHEN FUZZY-COPY(Y) WITH VERIFY-NO-UPDATERS(Y) AND DBRC-ACTION(REDEFINE)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IMSDBREFRESH command terminates with RC08 and the GCLRON05E
  message, when processing database that is registered in CA group
  or Recovery group with FUZZY-COPY(Y), VERIFY-NO-UPDATERS(Y) and
  DBRC-ACTION(REDEFINE) keywords in GCLIN DD statement. The copy
  process of database data set terminates normally but the process
  of updating target DBRC fails with the GCLRON05E message.

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

  After copying database data sets, IMSDBREFRESH command fails
  in updating target DBRC with the GCLRON05E message when target
  database is registered in CA group or Recovery group.
  IMS Cloning Tool incorrectly check if source RECON DD is
  allocated and fails it when updating target DBRC.
  This APAR modifies IMS Cloning Tool to check if the target
  RECON DD is allocated and to update target DBRC record.
  

Problem conclusion

• Install the APAR to fix the above problems for the IMSDBREFRESH
  command.
