Error description

  • The copy step of LOAD library in the job #A0COMB ends RC = 8
because the input data set specified by DDNAME SATYBIN and the
output data set specified by DDNAME COMBLOAD contain different
types of members.

*                      data sets into one data set ends with   *
*                      RC=08.                                  *

The job #A0COMB generated by the IMS Tools Setup to combine all
IMS Tools data sets into one data set ends with RC=08. This is
because the data set specified by DD SATYBIN and the data sets
specified by other DDs contain different types of members. This
issue occurs when a Java environment is selected for the IMS
SPUFI of IMS Administration Tool.

Problem conclusion

  • IMS Tools Setup has been fixed as follows:
1. A new input field for binary files has been added to panel
HKTQPAA3.
2. A new combined data set "hlq.COMBBIN" for binary files is
allocated.
3. A new step has been added to job #A0COMB to copy the SATYBIN
data set to "hlq.COMBBIN".
