PH22906: MAX_EXPECTED_ROWS IGNORED FOR SORT INVOCATION IF SORTUTIL=SORT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Although MAX_EXPECTED_ROWS is specified in an
  unload involving an ORDER clause, Db2 HPU invokes the DFSORT
  compliant site default sort program
  (if SORTUTIL=SORT) with parameters meant for the number of
  records of the whole table which can lead to undesired
  over allocation of resources for the sort process.
  

Local fix

• if available on your site, use DB2 SORT by specifying SORTUTIL
  DB2 SORT.
